O Captain provides a searchable reading collection and related editorial material. We may correct, restrict, remove, or change any record, feature, or service at any time.

Poems, translations, images, recordings, and editorial materials remain subject to the rights and permissions that apply to them. O Captain does not grant permission to reproduce material beyond rights you already hold. Source and rights information should be reviewed before reuse.

If you own rights in material on O Captain, represent a rightsholder, or believe a record should be removed for another legitimate reason, submit a request through Support and select “Copyright or removal request.” We may temporarily restrict access while we review the request.

Include the URL of each item, identification of the work or right involved, the basis for your request, your contact information, your authority to act, and any documentation that will help us investigate. For copyright claims, include a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized and a statement that the information is accurate.

We may remove, correct, restrict, or retain material after review. A request does not guarantee removal. Knowingly false or misleading claims may result in rejection of the request or other action.

When you submit material, you confirm that you created it or have the permissions necessary to submit it, that the credits and information you provide are accurate, and that review or publication will not violate another person’s rights.

Submission does not guarantee publication, compensation, or a response. We may decline, remove, or stop displaying submitted material at our discretion. You remain responsible for the rights in material you submit.

Keep your credentials secure. You may delete your account in the app at any time. See Delete account for the process.

To the extent permitted by law, O Captain is provided without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that every record is complete, current, accurate, available, or cleared for a particular use. Nothing on O Captain is legal advice.
