Smile Please
I've paid off my debentures
By photographing lynchers.
Above their easy grins
They stare into my lens
As, placing for my view
Their firstborn, parents do.
To keep it sharp, I hope,
I focus on the rope:
A good strong vertical.
The neck twists in the fall.
You want to show the drop
Full length. I never crop.
Lash marks are hard to catch.
I touch them in; I match
Them up from shot to shot;
Touch out the crotch or what,
So I can send by mail.
Nudes have the biggest sale.
It's hard to shoot a burning,
But year by year I'm learning.
