Lava
Her capacity for love is known
By the trees who feel her
Long before she can go to them.
She slides herself around
The village general store
And lifts it up for a second
As if to examine its worth.
She knows how to be delicate.
This has often fooled the villagers
Who are frantic with their gift giving
As the music of her touch crackles into
Each tree's tender core.
