Salute
Irreducibly the hull is
What wind will not except,
A wrapper rounding less
Beyond too far to see.
Earth hugs heaviness;
But overhead is high,
Drunk with driving on
The flap of immensity.
Hull of chaffdom
Empties even
Loveliness in transit.
Wind dips toward stars.
VOLUME
To surface where
Serenity resists
Its understated levelling,
Leaves scoring
Deeper than accommodation
Wants to signify.
Unruptured placidity
Craves plowing down
The plane in fact
Eventfully,
Not smoothing
What the current
Sculpting of expectancy
Can carve away.
