A Mill

PAUL RAMSEY

A MILL

A wheel of buckets turns around.

The rock is strident in the light.

The water rides the water round.

The light is turning in the light.

A circle turns within the wheel.

A shadow rides around the stone.

The water wavers on the stone.

The mill is grinding in the sun.

The waste, the waste is of the sun,

And time, of time! Time, sun, wheel.
