The Old Man in the Britannia

I saw three horsemen today
amongst the traffic, plump
and straight on plump straight horses:
with leisurely dignity they
went clopclopping through the
uneven grumble of the cars,
cap peaks down over their eyes,
arses bumping in the saddle
-lovely, really. I am
completely tuneless, but I
am old and drunk,
and people bear with me
like wheeled traffic that
makes way for horsemen.
