A True Storm

Storm or dream which bedlam fed me
Led me to burst typhoon's chains
Ocean tempest splicing my senses
A whip-soar that rocks perpetual tides.
Hurricane thrusts come toward me
I watch from my cliff which wave to clutch
Prop-cloud to cling
The sea cap foam spills over its rage
Nature tumbling surrounds this house of windows
The sea mumbles into the shore
What I see is lovelier than what I hear.
At the foot of our cliff the flash of waves pounding
The tintinnabulation, last drops of echoes
How they fall down to pianissimo
As hands on a piano copy La Mer.
