Beautiful and Kind
Outside my window
floats the head of a woman
looking in. Strangely
I live on the top floor.
She reminds me of the one
in my dream-serene,
beautiful and kind, to whom
all said shines in goodness
on her face, even as I denounce
her a fraud. I must kiss her,
I say in gratitude and prepare
to step out the window.
