The Husband

When the man arrives tomorrow, bearing a token:
"Come, I will show you. Leave everything here;
dead weight; none of it matters," will I go?
A wife, two kids, my manuscripts, my car?
When I am eighty, and have outlived my debtors,
once more he will come. Then I'll go with him.
