There's Margaret

Even you too, small-handed, beautiful,
Came to disaster long before your time;
Cherish no more your purse of scarlet wool
With hoarded lollipop and sticky dime.
Yet your blue eyes that smiled at whom they met
Without rebuff, that hid no adult care,
Dance for me still, although my eyes are wet,
Until my world is dispossessed of fear.
You never knew the effort to endure
False friend, cold heart, or fluent double tongue;
Persephone, forever kind and young,
You come from darkness but your eyes are sure.
Events, shapes, causes, quarrels still unknown
Can never change your love. It is my own.
