Within This Park

Within this park the branching night of lakes

towboats and tunnels extends

its shadowy influence

which amorous throaty summer, weighted by trees,

to sensuous sailor offers

for him to seize.

Take all the paths, then, seeker, you who steer

with star and quadrant to discover

anchor, the unwandering lover.
