Bird in My Room
Bird in my room, how came you within?
Falcon in sky, mirage of a shelter,
Or ominous sign to accuse and accurse
Me lost in a windowless room of the world.
Quick, find the way out the way in you came.
Take your wild beating of wings from my heart,
Convulsive connotations out of my brain,
Of a far-seeking bird that I too once was.
