Laid Off

My bronze tower
Set in granite is rocking.
The blast of duplicity anneals my steel.
The misted eyes of hunger cower me;
The jaws of dragon doubt devour me.
In a corner of my gloom
A clown tunes silver bells,
While hope and despair shake dice.
