On the Beach
Let the seasons pass over
Here where is no season
Parting with little treason
Lover and gallant lover.
Let the colors die down:
Here are all colors, and none,
A myriad, or one
Deep where all colors drown.
Wandering the rocky reaches
Where the loud waters wind,
I know no land so kind
As this of barren beaches.
Men's frail quick-colored hours
Flower to a trivial doom-
T have found no bloom
Proud as the sea's harsh flowers.
