An East-Side Funeral
Death, with prancing polished steeds,
Glossy chariot, tossing plume-
Death, with splendor in his weeds, ;
Seeks a squalid room.
Children, curious, quit their game,
Wondering that the narrow door
Where but a beggar went and came
Should draw this emperor.
