T h e D a n u b e t o t h e S e v e r n gave
T h e d a r k e n e d heart that b e a t n o m o r e ; 9
T h e y laid h i m b y t h e p l e a s a n t s h o r e ,
A n d i n t h e h e a r i n g o f t h e w a v e .
T h e r e t w i c e a day t h e S e v e r n fills;
T h e salt s e a - w a t e r p a s s e s by,
