"u. due to the impossibility of squaring a circle"

An irrational figure, one that can be
 Extended indefinitely, without rounding off
To a constant integer. Malleable, I have let
Science run its course, have even let
Them calculate me to a measure of
The comparative areas of A and B.

They've plotted it to a point where Tl agree
Their equations are convincing; they can stuff
Me in at the appropriate spots, and get
Solutions that they need, and Pl forget
Anti-logical reasoning and all that stuff
From out there. Finally, I'll agree

To let the measure of this world be me,
This world my definition. Fair enough,
If that's the only way that they can set
An estimate on me. I won't upset
A system that seems proven well enough
With any variant that rests in me.

The initials "P.I." are the patients' nickname for "Psychiatric
